EduFlex1 was founded out of a deep-rooted passion to address the growing literacy crisis in our country. Our founder, Dr. Mark Hopper, brings over 50 years of experience in education, with 25 of those years dedicated to reading intervention for students with reading disabilities. After retiring, he realized the severity of the ongoing national literacy crisis, particularly among elementary and middle school students. The truth was undeniable: the lack of science-based reading programs was contributing to widespread academic failure. Determined to make a difference, Dr. Hopper founded EduFlex1 to continue his mission of restoring reading fluency and confidence to students who had fallen through the cracks of traditional educational systems.
Our story is not just about one man’s passion for reading; it’s about a collective effort to make lasting change. With the support of a dedicated team, we have developed a reading curriculum grounded in scientific research and proven methods. Over the years, we have witnessed firsthand how our unique approach to reading instruction has transformed the lives of students, enabling them to catch up, overcome barriers, and achieve success. What began as a mission to help a few students has now evolved into a nationwide movement, providing literacy support to students, parents, and educators.
Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child, an educator looking for professional development, or simply someone who wants to learn more about our programs, we’re here to help.
